Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. Mr. Mills was a Blount, TN native. He served in the U.S. Navy before moving to Smyrna in 1966. He was employed by Lockheed for 36 years as an Avionics Engineer. He was Methodist. Surviving are: wife – Linda Mills of Smyrna; 3 sons – Doug and Shawn Mills both of Maryville, TN, Todd Hames of Buchanan, GA; daughter – Kelli Atcheson of Dallas, GA; mother – Dorothy Mills of Maryville, TN; brother – Jeff Mills of Sevierville, TN; 2 sisters – Jeanne Mills and Becky Hartgrove both of Maryville, TN; 3 grandchildren – Tayler Hames, Dalton Hames, Angel Reed. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
