SEVIERVILLE — They often hear that they look like each other, that they have the same mannerisms and act just like each other. That’s why many people are surprised to learn that Paula Haggard is the adoptive daughter of Gail Haggard and her late husband. After more than 30 years, Gail and Paula are a study of the nature vs. nurture philosophy, with a heavy leaning toward nurture. Along with their similar character traits and mannerisms, they are also educators, both teaching at Sevierville Primary School. Gail is in her 41st year in the classroom, mainly as a kindergarten teacher. Paula Haggard has been teaching second grade for eight years, ever since she graduated from college.
