ALLEN, VIRGIL MANLEY, JR. - entered into rest on August 6, 2011. Virgil was born on July 28, 1923 in Sevier Co. He was a former POW from WWII and a devoted husband for 70 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Stella L. Allen and 5 brothers and 6 sisters. Virgil is survived by his son Robert D. Allen of Section AL, Harold D. Allen of Clinton, TN and Steve Allen of Powell, TN; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 5pm to 7pm at the Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service following with Rev. Dan Shultz, officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am for a 10:00 am graveside service on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
