Herbert and Maxine Bohanan Manning celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 3, 2006, with a family dinner at their residence with their children and grandchildren. Herbert and Maxine are the parents of Michael and Wilma Jean Fox Manning, David and Sheila Ogle Manning, and Susan Manning Dixon and Tim. They are also the proud grandparents of Dustin and the late Erica Manning, Heather and William Manning and Benjamin and Eleanor Dixon. Herbert is the son of the late William "Link" and Daisy Lector Gann Manning. Maxine is the daughter of the late Oscar Bohanan and the late Jettie Cook Bohanan. Herbert retired from Dan River Corp. and Maxine is a full time homemaker to her family. They attend Jones Chapel Baptist Church.
