October 22, 1954 - December 29, 2012 Resided in Sevierville, TN William Obie (Billy) Greene, of Sevierville, TN, born October 22, 1954, died December 29, 2012 at his home on Douglas Dam Rd. Billy was a graduate of Sevier County High School and was a truck driver. He traveled all over the world and loved his job until his daughter Lacie was born and he came home to work to be closer to her. Mr Greene was a gun enthusiast and an avid collector. He was a hard worker, never taking but one vacation in his whole life and that was when he had pneumonia and the doctor put him in bed rest for a week. Most of all he loved his family. Nothing would please him more than to get together for a meal and sing along with his brothers on their guitars. He loved his daughter more than life itself and was an amazing father, brother, uncle and friend and has left a lasting legacy of love and generosity to serve as a guide for those of us left behind. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Mary Greene, several aunts and uncles. Survivors: Daughter: Lacie Nicole Greene Best Friend: Shelby Greene, who he loved like a daughter Brothers and sisters: Tommy D. Greene and wife Kay, Barbara Wilson and husband Mike, Joey Greene and wife Billie, Brenda Baker and husband Bill Special aunts: Agnes Marshall and Fern Catlett Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Atchley Funeral Home to help with the cost of the funeral. Funeral service 10 AM Tuesday at Union Grove United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Union Grove Cemetery. Rev. Hudson Chesteen will officiate.
