(April 12, 1954 - December 19, 2013) Gail Hooper “Cricket” Swann, age 59 of Cosby, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at her home. She was a member of Cosby Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleona and Beulah Hooper; nephew, Roger Hooper. She is survived by her Husband, Kyle Swann of Cosby; sons, Stephen (Susie) Swann of Cosby and Shane (Katherine) Swann of Cosby; grandchildren, Corey, Andrew, and Caden Swann; brothers, Dale (Linda) Hooper, Bobby (Dorothy) Hooper, Noah “June Bug” (Mary) McMahan; Sister Janette (Mike) Braley of Newport; nephews, Scott, Shannon, and Keith Hooper, Josh Spurgeon, and Todd McMahan; Nieces, Amy Ellis, Angie Spurgeon, Traci Stephens, and Teresa Taylor; sister-in-laws Jane (Darrell) Ellis and Verona Swann, and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00pm on Saturday, December 21, 2013 with the funeral service following at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kris Brady and Rev. Cleo Williamson officiating. Burial will take place on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Ogle Hill Cemetery.
