He was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church; South Knoxville Lodge Number 769 F&AM; and Alcoa 25 year club. Retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. Preceded in death by first wife and mother of his children, Helen Goddard Smith; parents, Isaac T. Smith, Sr. and Nettie Mae Harman Smith; sister, Trula Smith Atchley; brothers, Harmon and R.O. Smith. Survivors Survivors include wife, Martha Green Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Becky Smith of Marietta, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Jennie Kay and Don Hayhurst of Huntington Beach, California; daughter, Jewell Fitts of Knoxville; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Service Funeral service will be held 1 PM Friday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dennis Parker and Rev. David Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Highland South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
