James Roland Gilreath
James Roland Gilreath, 83, of Kodak, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center.
During WWII James was in the army where he served his country honorably. After the war he returned to his community where he was a member of the Kodak United Methodist Church, the Masons and worked in the Postal Service until retirement.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Gilreath, an infant daughter; parents, Jake and Carrie Huffaker Gilreath; brother, Kyle Gilreath.
James is survived by his wife, Lillian Lucille Gilreath; daughter, Patsy Dalton of Kodak, and son, Huey Gilreath of Nashville; grandchildren, Rebecca Israel, Joshua, Rachel, and Jacob Gilreath; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Kailee Gilreath; brother, Jake Lee Gilreath and wife Hilda.
Service will be 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2005 in Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Anderson and Rev. Bruce Marston officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29 at Henry’s Crossroads Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 28 at Rawlings Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Kodak United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2946 Douglas Dam Road, Kodak, TN 37764.
