A veteran and former POW of the Korean Conflict having served during in the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by parents, William Roe “Curly” and Clara Gregory Heaton. Survived by wife of 51 years Wilma Jean Jones Heaton; son and daughter in law, Michael and Robin Heaton of Murfreesboro; daughter, Christina Heaton of Maryville; grandchildren, Joseph Michael Heaton and Scott C. Heaton; great grandchild, Jonathan Heaton; sisters and brothers in law, Alma and Jim Haven of Maryville, Mary McCarter of Alcoa, Carol and Frank Curtis of Maryville; brother and sister in law, Stanley and Charlotte Heaton of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, rev. George Macht officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:00 AM Wednesday at Nelson Chapel Cemetery for the graveside and interment service.
