Scott, Steve Alan age 46 of Lenoir City passed away Friday, September 27, 2002 at the Park West Hospital at 9:30 a.m. Steve was a disabled Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by father, Travis Scott; brother, Dennis L. Scott of Knoxville; grandparents, Austin R. and Pearl Scott of Kingston; D. E. Covington of Knoxville; father-in-law, Ralph Smith; brother-in-law, Donnie Smith. Survived by wife of 15 years, Betty Smith Scott; daughter, Susie Osborne of Lenoir City; granddaughter, Shelby Hooper; mother, Mamie L. Carrigg of Knoxville; brother, Keith Scott and wife, Pam of Rutledge; sister, Joanne Anderson and husband, Clay Jr. of Strawberry Plains; grandmother, Mrs. Geneva Covington of Knoxville; nieces and nephews, Lynn Webb, Ryan Scott, Patrick Scott and Jennifer Scott, several other nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Mary Smith of Lenoir City; brothers-in-law, David Smith, Jerry Smith and wife, Brenda; sisters-in-law, Mary Russell, Peggy Scott and husband, Jimmy all of Lenoir City; loving aunts, uncles and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Sunday with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Freddy Chandler and Rev. Jackie Finley officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Tn. State Veterans Cemetery for graveside service. Military honors will be conferred by the East Tn. Veterans Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Smith, David Smith, James Scott, Chris Fritts, Patrick Scott and Clay Anderson. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is serving the family of Steve Scott.
