Earl K. Galyon, 86, of Maryville, passed away November 17, 2011. He served his country in World War II. He retired from Reynolds Aluminum Company in Chicago, Ill. He accepted Christ as his Savior at Lone Oak Baptist Church. He loved his Jesus! He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Nancy Galyon; sisters, infant Aliene Galyon, Velma Galyon, Ruby McClanahan, and Esta Lee Conner; brothers, infant Melvin, Arthur, and Dexter Galyon. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ethel B. Galyon; daughter, Linda B. Watson; granddaughter, Jessica Watson; great-granddaughter, Miles and McKinsie Watson; sisters, Euretha Carter, Ona Headrick Gillespie, Golda Mae Headrick Potter, and Lavern Teffeteller; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011, in the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. Family and friends will meet 1 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011, at Pleasant Grove cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
