FOX, HUGH O — age 82, of Athens, Tennessee, died Monday at his residence. He was a native of Sevierville, Tenn. resident of McMinn County, Tenn. since 1946 and son of the late George N. and Mary Fox. Retired from Bell South, he was instrumental in forming McMinn County Emergency and Rescue Squad. Member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church, Veteran of World War II and preceded in death by wives, Wanda Schultz Fox and Lea Isbill B. Fox.
Survivors: wife, Louise Suber Hicks Fox, Athens, Tenn.; daughter and son-n-law, Sandra & Cecil Parkinson, Cleveland, Tenn.; step daughters, Terri Isbill, Athens, Tenn., Janet Suber, Chattanooga, Tenn.; step son, Jim Suber, Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Tracy & Dana Parkinson; sisters, Mary George Paine and Edith McMahan, Sevierville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in Keith Memorial United Methodist Church where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. with Rev. Mike Hubble and Rev. Stuart Harvey officiating. Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday in McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Oran Creasman officiating. Arrangements by Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home, Athens, Tenn.
