Beryl Fox Sadler, 91, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014. She was a devoted educator, having taught 42 years at Pittman Center Elementary School and Maryville High School. She had a passion for helping her students reach their potential and succeeding in their life endeavors. She was a long-time member of the former Timberlake Garden Club and the Retired Teachers Association of Blount County. Ms. Sadler attended and was a strong supporter of the University of Tennessee, Tennessee Wesleyan University, and Lincoln Memorial University. She was of the Methodist faith, and most recently attended Roberts United Methodist Church in Sevierville.
She was preceded in death by Robert A. Sadler, her loving husband of 47 years, parents Roscoe and Julia Allen Fox, and sisters, Ruby Fox Phillips and Faye Fox Sutton.
Survivors include:
Nephews and nieces: Bill and Paula Martin, Robert and Linda Cole, Amy and David Farmer, Judy and Tony Layman, Don and Kay Phillips, Larry and Deborah Phillips, Thelma Herron and Richard Herron, Grace Griffin, Bruce and Ramona Phillips, Ann and Richard Yeats, Marvin and Ann Sutton, Steve Sutton, and Mary and Steve Watson; numerous great nieces and great nephews. Among her many special friends are Howard and Ann Weaver and David and Ann Hake;
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Backpack Ministry of Roberts United Methodist Church, Sevierville, c/o Brenda Finney, 1323 Grace Way, Sevierville, TN 37862.
The family will receive friends 5:30-7 PM Tuesday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Heard officiating.
