Dan “Bud” Fowler, Jr., 79, of Cosby, went to be with his Lord on February 27, 2006, at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. He was a laborer by trade at BASF for 39 years, a Volunteer Fireman with the Cosby Fire Department, a Baptist by faith, and a veteran of WWII. Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Maude Cunup Fowler; two sons, Terry Lynn Fowler and Ronald Lee Fowler; five sisters, Loanie Forester, Callie Brown, Elizabeth McGaha, Jenny Ward and Reva Morris; and two brothers, Hugh and Ray Fowler. Dan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Pace Fowler, of the home; one daughter, Judy Roach, of White Pine; one sister, Cillia Rogers, of Seymour, and one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Linda Fowler, of Gatlinburg; and daughter-in-law, Shirley Fowler. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Danny and Frankie Fowler, Davy and Mary Ellen Fowler, Derrick and Kristy Fowler, Jason and Mindy Fowler, Amy and Ronald Hayes, Ron and Jana Roach, Aaron and Julie Roach, Jeremy Fowler, and LeAnn Roach; several great-grandchildren, Robert Roach, Kayla Fowler, Kassie Fowler, Jena Riley, Marisa Fowler, Claira Fowler, William Fowler, Julianne Grace Fowler and McKenzie Hayes; special friends, Frankie and Kyle Mitchell and Gregg Worth; several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 1, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tommy Wallen and Rev. Ransom Hall officiating. A graveside service will be Thursday, March 2, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in Union Cemetery with the DAV Post #102 providing military honors. Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mr. Dan Fowler, Jr.
