Jennie Lucille Ward, 87, of Cosby, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 16, 2003, at her residence following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Ward; parents, Dan and Maude (Canupp) Fowler; four sisters, Reva Morris, Liz McGaha, Lona Foister, and Callie Coffee; two brothers, Ray and Hugh Fowler. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Gene and Ruth Green, of Strawberry Plains; Jerry and Sharon Green, of Big Bear, Ca.; and James and Pat Green, of Cosby; one sister, Cellia Rogers, of Sevierville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Dan and Marybelle Fowler Jr. and Frank and Linda Fowler, all of Cosby; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, June 17, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. Graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Smoky Mountain Home Health Care. Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Jennie Lucille Ward.
