CAUGHRON, ELLEN SARAH - age 84, of Sevierville, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2000 at Sevier County HealthCare. She was a charter member of Maples Branch Baptist Church. Mrs. Caughron was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Caughron; and several brothers; and sisters. She is survived by herloving family, daughter and son-in-law, Genella andlamar Hudgins of Jonesboro, Ga.; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Alma Caughron of Sevierville; and several nieces; and nephews. Mrs. Caughron is at Highland South Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Maples Branch Baptist Church with Rev. D.A. Cole and Rev. Andy Ball officiating. The body willlie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family request that inlieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to: Arthritis Foundation, Smoky Mountain Branch, 212 South Peters Road, Knoxville, Tenn. 37923.
