SIMPSON, MABEL F. - of Strawberry Plains, passed away 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2002, at NHC St. Mary's. She was of the Methodist faith. Preceded in death by parents, Wilson and Edna Fox brothers, Olin Fox and Dewey Trotter Fox, and sister, Wilma Fox. Survivors: husband, Harry E. Simpson of Strawberry Plains son and daughter-in-law, David and Jean Maranville daughter and son-in-law, Maxine and Claude Ownby, both of Sevierville granddaughters and husbands, Teresa and Steve King, Melissa and Eddie Flanagan, and Anne Marie and Doug Ivey grandsons and wives, Wayne and Marie Maranville, Keith and Michelle Maranville grandson, Bob King five great- grandchildren brother, Jack Fox sisters, Veryle Helton and Jewell Fox, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service and interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or a charity of your choice. Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Ave. at Broadway, in charge of arrangements.
