Tommie Cleophas Sutton age 97 of Cosby died Friday morning at his home. He was a farmer, the last surviving member of his family, member of the Bradley Chapel Church where he served as Sunday School teacher for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife Stella Norris Sutton, parents George and Ollie Valentine Sutton and brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children Geraldine (Doug) Buchanan, Wanda (Jim) Calloway, Glenn (Carolyn) Sutton, Archie (Fred) Sayre, Dexter Sutton, Tommie (Cathy) Sutton, Donnie (Rosa) Sutton, 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 6 pm Saturday at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Clay Sutton officiating. Family will receive friends from 4 – 6 pm prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at the Shults Cemetery Sunday 1 pm for the graveside service.
