Jarvis G. Mathews, 92, of Sevierville, died Friday evening, Aug. 11, 2006 in Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee after a lengthy illness. Jarvis was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his sister, Lucille Galyon of Seymour; sister-in law, Georgia Mathews of Mascot; several nieces, nephews and many friends. The family received friends and the funeral was held Monday at Rawlings Funeral Home with the Rev. Dallas Moore and the Rev. W.A. Galyon officiating.Family and friends will gather in the Beech Grove Cemetery Tuesday morning, Aug. 15, 2006, at 11 a.m. for the interment service.
