He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nancy Buchanan Turbyfill ; brothers, Martin, Howard, and Stephen; sister, Alice. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Turbyfill ; sons and daughters-in-law, A . L . and Alta Turbyfill , Jr., Mike and Kathy Starr, all of Alcoa; grandchildren, Sam, Andy, Beth and Becky; sister, Hattie Randolph; brother, Tarp Turbyfill , both of Spruce Pine, N.C.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lurretta and Tom Dyer of Powell; special niece and nephew, Ruth and Chuck Gross; several other nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Lowe officiating. The interment will be 10 a .m. Monday in Grandview Cemetery.
