November 24, 1936 - April 20, 2015 Resided in Sevierville, TN James "Dexter" Arwood, age 78, of Sevierville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 20, 2015. He was a Deputy Sheriff of Sevier County for some time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Loma Arwood; and father-in-law, John Burchfield. Dexter is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Kristin Jane Arwood; son, Danny Lee Arwood and wife, Darlene; four daughters, Donna Gann and husband, Charles, Victoria, Jennifer and Haley Arwood; grandsons, Todd Gann and Kyle Arwood; mother-in-law, Brenda Savage; seven sisters, Mildred Lunsford, Velma Maples, Wilma Rogers and husband, Ernest, Ruby Davis, Edith Wilson, Lena Reagan, and Linda Hatcher; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Donations may be made to Atchley Funeral Home to benefit the family. The family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to their family, friends and the community that have already made donations for Dexter's funeral, as well as, Covenant Hospice for their attentive and special care. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
