Charity Mae Etherton Parrott, age 79, of Dandridge, passed on to be with our Lord on Saturday, February 16, 2002 at her home after battling a brief illness with cancer.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and was a retired employee of Tennessee Handbags.
Preceded in death by her husband, William (Bud) Parrott; son, William (Billy) Parrott; daughter, Bobbie Whaley; infant daughter, Shelby Parrott; brothers, Amos and Raymond Etherton; and sister, Velma Russell.
Survivors include daughter, Judy Ann Hill; grandchildren, Steve Clabo, Joey (Heather) Parrott, and Heather Hill (Bryan) Cooper; great-grandchildren, Charity & Mika Clabo, Zachary & Megan Parrott, and Katlyn Cooper; brothers: Robert (Bob) Etherton, J.B. (JoAnn) Etherton, Cleo (Pauline) Etherton, all of Dandridge; Herman (Evelyn) Etherton, of Knoxville; sisters: Bessie “Ray” and P.D. (Tody) Ray, of Mansfield, OH; and Rachel (Tom) Moore, of Dandridge; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday at 8 p.m. at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Troy Duncan officiating.
Interment graveside services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Family received friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge.
