Mary Newman went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on September 12, 2006 at her home, after a long battle with cancer. She was a member of Smoky View Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents: Bruce & Mattie Arwood; brothers: Gene and Joe Arwood. She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law: Lynn & Betty Lowe of Norris, TN. and Dan Emert of Friendsville, TN.; beloved grandchildren: Zachary Emert, Lydia and Kevin Lowe; brothers: Bennie Arwood of Roseville, Michigan, Jack Arwood of Morristown, TN; sister: Sherry Arwood of Crossville, TN; sister-in-law: Helen Trump of Mineral Wells, TX.; several nephews, nieces; many friends and co-workers. Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Everyone will meet 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2006 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Rev. Jack Arwood officiating.
