ELLIS, CARL EDWARD - age 82, went to be with the Lord February 28, 2006. He was a charter member of the Bells Chapel Baptist Church. He attended Seymour Community Christian Church. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Maggie Bell Ellis and Ollie Edward Ellis; brother, Ollie Ellis Jr.; and sister; Iris Rose Ellis. He is survived by: his wife of 62 years, Dorothea Croxdale Ellis; son, Carl Edward Ellis and wife Kay; daughters, Charlene Evans and Carolyn Sanders and husband Bob; 7 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Carl retired from Kern's Bakery. He spent his early retirement working with his friend Bruce Atchley at Smokey Mountain Car Museum in Pigeon Forge. He loved old cars, fishing, whittling and drawing cartoons for the little ones. Funeral services will be held Friday March 3, 2006 at Highland South Memorial Park at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Highland South Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. till time of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Mark Sanders, Craig Ellis, David Evans, Kevin Ellis, Mike Miller, Allen Preston, and Chuck Humphrey.
