Joy Gibson, age 92 of Sevierville, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Sevierville and was preceded in death by her parents, James Ambers and Hannah Flynn; husband, Ed Gibson; twelve siblings and two sons-in-law.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Nichols, Shirley and J.E. Cook , Wanda and Ed Barnes, Dot Schreiner, Sonja and Steve Campbell; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Carol Gibson; grandchildren, Tony Nichols, Dawn Jenkins, Elaine Kissling, Jeff Hughes, Angie Brandenburg, Betsy Warren, Brad Schreiner, Jodi Schreiner, Ashley Gibson, Cody Gibson, Paige Campbell, and Blake Campbell; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 317 Parkway, Sevierville, TN, 37862 or Alzheimer Association, P.O. Box 10088, Knoxville, TN 37939-9910.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Hyder will officiate.
