DUNELAND BEACH - Robert B. Duggan , 80, Duneland Beach, died at 9:33 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 2, 2006) at St. Anthony Memorial.
A memorial service is at 1 p.m. today at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel. Cremation is planned, with the ashes interred privately. Visitation is from noon until the service today at the funeral chapel.
Mr. Duggan was born April 22, 1926, in Denver to Orton and Francis (Clemens) Duggan , who preceded him in death. On Oct. 4, 1947, in Louisville, Ky., he married Betty Weber, who survives.
Survivors also include a daughter, Lynn (Fred Shroyer) Duggan , Rochester, N.Y.; four sons, Robert B. (Peggy) Duggan Jr., Ashland, Ky., Lee (Denise) Duggan , Alpharetta, Ga., Scott (Valerie) Duggan , Indianapolis, and Tim (Amy) Duggan , Austin, Texas; a sister, Ruth Hoglan, Sevierville, Tenn.; four granddaughters, Eileen, Abbe, Samantha and Ali Duggan ; 11 grandsons, Michael, Brian, Sean, Kevin, Patrick, Casey, Corey, Matt, Alex, Nathan and Zach Duggan .
He was preceded in death by two brothers, David Duggan and Orton Duggan Jr., and one granddaughter, Kelley Ann Duggan .
Mr. Duggan retired in 1988 as vice president of engineering for Weil-McLain. He was a member of Long Beach Country Club and a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He enjoyed golfing and loved his family and friends, and was always ready to help anyone.
