Dorothy Lou Martin, age 72, Newport, went to be with Jesus, May 6, 2003, at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Delia Shults; sisters, Eunice, Maude and Elizabeth.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Gladin and Barbara Gosnell, of Newport; Danny and Wanda Shults, of Sneedville; Tim and Janice Gosnell, of Rutherfordton, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and David Woods, Jr., of Newport; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Vera Shults, of SC; grandchildren, David, Jake, Davena, Malarie, Leslie, Paige, Lori, Debbie, Danny, Sherri, Tina, Samantha, and Tim; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Jerimia, Charell, and Breanna; also several nieces, nephews; a host of cousins and friends; special friend, Kathy Thomas; sister-in-law, Tennie G. Morgan.
The Funeral will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday at Manes Funeral Home, with Rev. David Gamble officiating, with burial in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Manes Funeral Home.
