He was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Dinkins was a retired construction worker and was also self-employed as a tree surgeon for 20 years. He loved to fish and hunt. He was a loving husband of 56 years, devoted father, and proud Pappaw! He was preceded in death by: his mother and father, Hugh & Nelly Dinkins; brothers, Clayton, Ernest,Hugh and Ford; and sisters, Lib, Jewel, and Eula Irene. Survived by: His wife of 56 years: Verna Mae Dinkins Sons and daughters-in-law: James Dinkins, Ray & Judy Dinkins, Mark Dinkins and fiancé Darlene, and Brian Dinkins Daughter and son-in-law: Rosalee & George Webb Grandchildren: Sarah Oliver & husband Craig, and Kristin Brown & husband Matthew Great-Grandchildren: Serena & Shayla Oliver, and Avalyn & Alison Brown Brother and sister-in-law: Jimmy & Bonnie Dinkins Sisters and brother-in-law: Frances Julian, and Joanne & Robert Bean Special Sister-in-law and caretaker: Joyce Justus Special friend: Jim Valentine The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the home health and hospice caregivers who helped him during his final days.
