Walker Barnes, age 86, of Brooklyn Ohio, died Saturday, October 21, 2000 at Deaconess Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born March 20, 1914 in Sevierville, Tennessee the son of James and Sara (Miller) Barnes. Mr. Barnes was a retired assembler for General Motors, where he worked for 30 years. Mr. Barnes had lived in Brooklyn, Ohio since 1953.
He was a member of Cleveland Baptist Church and had been a member of Salem Baptist Church in the Jones Cove community of Sevier County, Tn. He enjoyed country music and was preceded in death by his wife Jessie Phillips Barnes, father James N. Barnes mother, Sara Alice Miller.
