Katherine “Kitty” Agee Smith, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Newport Medical Center. She was a member of First United Methodist Church Dandridge ,Tn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dr. J. Castro Smith. She is survived by her brother, Bill Agee of Newport; stepson and his wife Larry and Arlene Smith of Austin, Texas and their extended family; niece and her husband, Ella and Gary Ford of Newport; nephew and his wife, Jim and Terri Agee of Morristown; great niece, Molly Ford and a special great-great niece, Pyper Ealy of Newport; and her special friends who helped with her care during these past months. The family will receive friend from 5-7 pm Friday, October 12, 2012 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dwight Kenny and Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
