She was born on February 4, 1913 in Cocke County, TN, but in the late 1930s moved with her family to the Swan Pond community in Roane County where she lived for over 50 years. Preceded in death by parents, Newton and Sadie Blazer and sister, Mrs. Grace (Cecil) Ownby. Retired from Burlington Hosiery Mill, she was a faithful member of Swan Pond Methodist Church, seldom missing a Sunday. Survived by: sisters, Mrs. Maud (Mac) Dawson, of Wellington Place, Kingston, Mrs. Pearle Blaylock & husband, Evert, of Nashville and Mrs. Anna Wyatt (Fowler) Gamble, of Harriman; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Kyker Funeral Home Chapel, Harriman with Rev. Louis Hill officiating. Interment will be in Roane Memorial Gardens.
