Jean Ottinger McMahan, age 75, of Newport, passed away Friday, April 18, 2003 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville.
She was a charter member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and was the church treasurer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam McMahan and parents, Barb and Sallie Kate Lafollette Ottinger.
She is survived by her, nieces, Malinda Kelley and husband, Jack, of Atlanta GA, Karen Osborne and husband, Don, of Parrottsville, Diane Cashen and husband, Ronnie, of Parrottsville; nephews, Steve McMahan and wife, Rita, of Oak Ridge, Mike McMahan and wife, Kay, of Maryville, Robert Ottinger and wife, Peggy, of Parrottsville; brother-in-law, Clarence McMahan and wife, Katherine, of Maryville; sister-in-law, Mary Ottinger and husband, Trent, of Parrottsville; great nieces and great nephews, Candi Overholt, of Memphis, TN, Brandi Cashen, of Parrottsville, Jennifer Frank, of Parrottsville, Kara and David McMahan, of Maryville, Robbie and Heather Ottinger, of Parrottsville; special friend, Pat Irwin, of Knoxville and many other special friends and family.
The Funeral Services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Terry Fugate officiating, with burial in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Manes Funeral Home.
