Mr. Loyd Chester Gregg, age 80 of Johnson City passed away Thursday morning, March 8, 2007 at Johnson City Medical Center. He retired from the U.S. Army after twenty years of service and was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church in Johnson City. Mr. Gregg was a member of the Masonic Lodge #234 in Newport and held the high honor of 32nd degree mason. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Temple in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Gregg and parents, Willie (Bill) and Sally Gregg. Mr. Gregg is survived by his daughter, Cindy Tipton of Johnson City. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Resthaven Mausoleum with Rev. Madison Lee officiating. Family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home. Arrangements by Costne [S147] Find a Grave, (Memorial: 43864167).
