February 13, 1932 - October 16, 2015 Resided in Gatlinburg, TN Virgie Lorene Cooper "Brownie" Brown, age 83, of Gatlinburg passed away Friday, October 16, 2015. She was a wonderful and loving Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma. Virgie worked at Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen for 35 years. She was a vivacious woman with a great sense of humor. Virgie was a talented jokester that kept everyone on their toes. She enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jack Brown; son, Gary Wayne Brown; daughter, Linda Sue Brown Fox; parents, Ollie and Beatrice Cooper; brothers, Norman, Lennis, J.W. and Hubert Cooper. Virgie is survived by her daughters, Debbie Huskey and husband, Rick, Sandra Ogle and husband, Larry, Vickie Brown, Donna Randall and husband, Keith; son, Larry Brown and wife, Sandi; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of loving extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Tuesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7PM. Larry Ogle officiating.
