KATHLEEN B. - age 78, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, June 4, 1999, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Park Lane Baptist Church. Her husband, Claude W. Cowden; and son, Richard Glenn Cowden preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter, Sue Renfro; sons, David Cowden and wife, Katherine and Wayne Cowden, all of Knoxville, Charles Cowden and wife, Audrey of Greeneville, Tenn.; half-sister, Hazel King; granddaughter, Stephanie Thornell and husband, Brent; grandsons, Steven Renfro, Ricky Smith and Jesse Cowden; great-grandchildren, Chasity, Chad, and Blake; and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 6, 1999, from 4-6 p.m. at the Highland South Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted Monday, June 7, 1999, at 10 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. David Gregg and Rev. Gale Lyon officiating. The interment service will follow in Highland South Cemetery with Brent Thornell, Ricky Smith, Jesse Cowden, Mike Burnette, Steve Renfro and Steven Renfro serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Children's Hospital, c/o Children's Hospital Development Dept., 2018 West Clinch Ave., Knoxville, TN 37916. Arrangements were made with Highland South Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy., 573-7300.
