Mable was a lifelong member of the Middle Creek United Methodist Church, Mable was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Harry B. Cate, Sr; her mother, Sarah Viola Chance Franklin and her father, George Franklin. She is survived by her children, Carol Huntley of Pigeon Forge, Harry B. Cate, Jr. and wife, Emily of Knoxville, TN. and William R. Cate and wife, Elizabeth Willis Cate of Conyers, GA; grandchildren, Michael and Barbara Leyva of Monroe, NC; Victor Leyva of Gulf Breeze FL; Chloe’ Cate of Madisonville, TN, and William Cate of Johnson City, TN; Cathy and Tim Jordan of Conyers, GA; 2 great grandchildren, 3 great, great, grandchildren and 4 great, great, great, great grandchildren; brother, Perry Franklin of St. Joseph, MO. Besides the immediate family, the many friends that knew and loved her will miss Mable. The family would like to say a special thank you to NHC third floor staff and to Caris Hospice for the love and care they showed Mable. The family has requested that donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Rawlings Funeral Home in Sevierville with Rev. Steve Pross officiating. The family will meet at Shiloh Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. Monday morning, September 10, 2012 for the graveside service with Rev. David Lewis officiating.
