WHITTINGTON, EDNA CON-NATSER - age 79 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 18, 2006. She was a member of the Church of God. She retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory and in addition she and her husband, Harry, owned and operated "Whittington Catering and Photo Service" of Knoxville for over 35 years. She is preceded in death by: her parents: Melvin John and Edith Connatser. Survived by: her devoted husband of 59 years, Harry L. Whittington; son, Melvin Whittington and wife Ginnie Whittington of Smithfield, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Melinda, Lindsey, and Blake Whittington, all of North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Dutch Valley Church of God with funeral service at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Jack Dean and Rev Melvin Whittington officiating. Interment 10:00 a.m. Friday at Highland Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Angelic Minis-tries 1218 N. Central, Knoxville, TN 37917 may be made.
