January 15, 1939 - April 22, 2015 Resided in Seymour, TN Wilma Gillespie Cotter, age 76 of Seymour passed away Wednesday April 22, 2015 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Wilma was a long time member of Valley Grove Baptist Church in Seymour where she taught Sunday school years ago. Wilma attended Carson Newman University and the University of Tennessee. She was a longtime secretary in the claims department of Travelers Insurance Company. She was also a secretary to Jimmy England at Junior Pro Products in Seymour and also served as secretary to Harry Brooks at Brookhaven Farms in Seymour. Wilma was a fifty year member of the Chilhowee Chapter #450 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a 1957 graduate of Harrison Chilhowee Baptist Academy where she was class president all four years in high school. She loved helping plan class reunions for the class of 1957. Wilma is survived by her husband of 54 years, Arnold, two sons, Michael of Seymour, Chris (Kelly) of Maryville, sister Louise Cook (Lowell) of Knoxville, sister-in-law, Wanda Johnson of Knoxville, brother-in-law, George Cotter, of Seymour, James Cotter (Susan) of Knoxville, granddaughter Destiny Cotter, step grandsons, Curtis and Zac Stabler, of Knoxville and step granddaughter Randi Smith of Maryville. Family and friends will meet 11:30AM Monday at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway for graveside service with Rev. Dallas Moore officiating.
