Daryl Lee Whitson Christopher , 63, of Hixson, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011. A native of Oak Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Mary Hallie Whitson. She was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School. Daryl had lived in Chattanooga for the past 34 years and retired from Chattanooga State and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and the Naomi Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Christopher ; and son, Bradley Wade Christopher . She was the loving mother of three boys, Eric (Jaime) Christopher , Brent Christopher and Matt (Mandy) Christopher ; brother, Dan (Martha) Whitson; three granddaughters; one niece and several nephews. The funeral will be at noon Tuesday at Red Bank Baptist Church with Dr. Grant Whittenbarger officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers with the Naomi class serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Red Bank Baptist Church and 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, also at the church.
