Sgt. Terry William “Stomper” Chance, age 44 of Pigeon Forge and a good hearted Christian man, went to heaven at 3:04 PM, Thursday, April 17, 2003.
Terry had been an employee of the Pigeon Forge Police Department for 25 years, serving as sergeant the last 23 years. He also served as communications supervisor and procurement officer for the department. He was an honorary member of the FOP and was retired from the Pigeon Forge Volunteer Fire Department. Terry was owner of Craft Village Market and Texaco in Pigeon Forge.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Howard Chance, and infant brother Terry Lynn Chance.
Survivors include:

Beloved children: Maria Dawn, age 12; Robert Angelo, age 4

Funeral service 2 PM Monday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel with Reverend Bill Maples officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens with honors by the Pigeon Forge Police Department Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 5-9 PM Sunday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel, 220 Emert Street, Pigeon Forge, TN. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
