Festus was a member of the Kodak United Methodist Church. A brother, Carl Dwight Johnson, preceded Lester in death. He is survived by his parents, Beecher and Nellie Shepherd Johnson of Kodak; sister, Brenda Maples and husband David of Knoxville; niece, Kari Maples and nephew Justin Maples. Service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2003 at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ty Harrison officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28 at Henrys Crossroads Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27 at Rawlings Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Kodak United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2946 Douglas Dam Road, Kodak, TN, 37764.
