Hoyl C. Parton, 81, of Tallahassee died Monday. The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Heights Baptist Church in Tallahassee, with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hendersonville, N.C. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Culley's MeadowWood Riggins Road Chapel in Tallahassee (877-8191). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Comforter Episcopal School Building Fund. A native of Sevier County, Tenn., and resident of Tallahassee since 1982, he was retired from Burdines Department Store. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was an ordained deacon at Forest Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Frances Parton of Tallahassee; two sons, Steve Parton of Tallahassee and Wayne Parton of Atlanta; and a grandchild, Jake Parton of Tallahassee.
