PARTON, ANNIE MANER - age 101, of Strawberry Plains, went home to be with her beloved husband Brownlow McKinley Parton on September 12, 2010. Mamaw's precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be lost without her. She was preceded in death by her parents Mitchell and Mattie Maner. She was blessed with 6 living children: Brownlow McKinley Parton, Jr., James Edward Parton, Linda Harrell, Liz and husband Austin Newman, Brenda and husband Mike Anderson, Martha Parton, and Barbara and husband Joe Stout. Also left to mourn her passing, are her grandchildren: Michael Parton, Lisa Parton, Anne Marie Kelley, Christy Smith, Greg Newman, Wendy McMann, Jenniffer Lowery, Eric Anderson, Travis Anderson, Misty Parton, and Kim Parton, and special friend Richard Emory. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her caretaker Jennifer Sinard for her compassion and help during Annie's illness. The visitation will be on Tuesday night from 5-7 PM with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 at Eastview Memorial Gardens in Strawberry Plains for the interment service to be held at 11:00 AM.
