Lloyd E. (Doby) Reed, 86, of Del Rio, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 16, 2004, at Heritage Center in Morristown. He was a retired motorcycle mechanic and a member of Wilsonville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Willie Rhea (Lane) Reed; son, Henry Daniel Reed; parents, William Harrison Sr. and Mellie Lucretta (Parton) Reed; and brother, Billy Reed. Doby is survived by his wife, Mary (Crider) Reed, of Newport; sons, James Reed, of Cosby; Doby Edgar Reed and his wife, Diana Gail, of Rutledge; Cecil Franklin Reed and his wife, Marcelle, of Del Rio; David Garfield Reed and his wife, Anne, of Austin, Tex.; Ernest Harrison Reed, of Rutledge; and Floyd Reed and his wife, Rhonda, of New Market; daughters, Rose Wood and her husband, Burnett, of Knoxville; Betty Ann Brown and her husband, Lynn, of Greeneville, Tenn.; and Debra Ball and her husband, Dwain, of Newport; sisters, Ruby Manning, of Seymour, and Betty Jean Berrier and her husband, Bill, of Seymour; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Reed will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, August 18, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
