CHRISTOPHER, EURETHA GILBERT—age 91 of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was an active member of Arlington Baptist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Preceded in death by husband, Clyde Christopher; parents, Arlie and Etta Gilbert; brothers, Charlie and Luther Gilbert; sister, Iona Gilbert. Survived by brother, Frank E. Gilbert of Knoxville; nieces, Wanda Rogers of Sevierville, Irene Miller of Georgia, Mary Jean Johnson of Virginia; nephews, Arlie Gilbert of Tazewell; several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Friday in Stevens Chapel with Rev. Ray Ridgeway officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 12 noon graveside service and interment. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at N. Broadway.
