Gilbert, Frank E., age 82, of South Knoxville, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010. Frank was born in Sevier County. He was a member of Meridian Baptist Church and was a member of Burlington Masonic Lodge #763 F & AM. Frank was a Korean War veteran and a 37 year employee of the University of Tennessee in the Educational Film Library and Television Services. Preceded in death by parents, Arlie and Etta Gilbert; sisters, Euretha G. Christopher, Iona Gilbert; brothers, Charlie F. Gilbert, Luther R. Gilbert, Sr.; wife, Bonnie H. Gilbert. Survivors include sister-in-law and husband, Jane and Buddy Cook, sister-in-law, Sue Clark; nephews, Jim Duncan, of King, N.C. and Arlie Gilbert of Tazewell, TN; nieces, Irene Miller of Fairmont, GA, Mary Jean Johnson of Prince George, VA and Wanda Rogers of Sevierville, TN; and numerous other nieces and nephews; good friend, Peggy T. Tubbs. Friends and family will meet for visitation Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with the service to follow, at Berry Funeral Home, with Bro. Dana L. Fachman officiating. Friends and family will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. for the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meridian Baptist Church. Pallbearers are to be nephews. A Masonic ceremony will be conducted by the Burlington Masonic Lodge #763 F & AM in the chapel prior to the service.
