She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Cate; brothers, Henry Catlett and Clay Catlett and his wife, Ida Mae; son-in-law, Fred Loveday; and sisters-in-law, Barbara Catlett and Mary Catlett. She was a member of French Broad Valley Baptist Church and retired from Electro-Voice. She is survived by her children, Brenda Loveday, Helen Brown and husband Lugie, Eddie Cate and wife Penny; grandchildren, Marty Loveday, Jodi Moore and husband Andy, Todd Brown and wife Marilynn, Shawna Langford and husband Vince, Jason Cate and wife Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Kylie Loveday, Ansleigh Moore, Pressly Anderson and husband Ben, Mari-Todd Brown, Jack Brown, Carson Langford, Emilia Langford, Gregory Cate, Natalie Cate, Aaron Cate, Adam Cate; great-great-grandchild, Lilli Cate Anderson; brothers, Wm. Shirley Catlett, Roy Catlett, Rex Catlett and wife Violet; sister-in-law, Golda Catlett; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. The family will receive friends 4-6PM Saturday with funeral service to follow at 6 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Ev Robertson and Rev. Jimmy Riner will officiate. Family and friends will meet at 2 PM Sunday at Underwood Cemetery for graveside service and interment.
