Hubert Cleo Henry, age 86, of Newport, passed away, Monday September 8, 2008 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. Hubert was a Deacon and Clerk for Little Primitive Baptist Church, retired from Wall Tube and was a farmer. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Clevenger Henry; parents, Jim and Christina Henry; grandson, Joshua Wilson; great grandson, Bryan Allen Hartsell; sisters, Beulah Carver, Ruby Carver and Pearl Henry. He is survived by his children, Charles Henry and wife, Shirley, Rudy Rolen and husband, Jimmy, Kay Allen and husband, Ronnie, Jackie Henry, Robin Allen and husband, Jerry, Jan Denton and husband Marty; twelve grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder Robert Mayhorn and Elder Mike Houser officiating. Burial will be 10:00 am Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with L/Cpl Charles C. Roberts DAV Chapter 102 conducting military rites. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
