Louise Swann James, age 81, of Dandridge, TN passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Jefferson County Nursing Home. Louise was a member of Hills Union United Methodist Church, where she was a volunteer for many years. She was also a volunteer at Jefferson County Nursing Home for many years before she became a resident. Louise spent her life caring for animals from farm animals to domestic pets. She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Swann; and mother, Mae Loveday; sister, Betty Rimmer; and son Mike James. She is survived by her sisters, Grace Reneau and Shirley (Frankie) Edmonds; sons, Dennis (Tammy) James and Steve (Renee) James; grandchildren, Angelia, Carla, Jesse, David and Kelly; and also eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge, with the Rev. Cecil Baxter officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the funeral service. Graveside Interment will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in Hills Union Cemetery, with friends and family meeting at cemetery at 10:50 for the 11:00am service. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge to help with final expenses.
