Louis Alvin Perryman, age 74, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 27, 2007. He was a member of the Norwood Baptist Church. He was a veteran on the U.S. Navy where he served in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harrison Perryman and Sarah Elizabeth Perryman; brothers: Oscar and Fred Perryman of Knoxville; sisters: Reba Cline and Anna Lee Carr of Knoxville.
He is survived by his wife, Jerelene Perryman of Knoxville; daughters: Deborah Daniels and Jane Gunther both of Knoxville, Beth Eubank of Newport, Maria Ownby and husband, Jeff of Knoxville; step daughters: Cynthia Ely and husband, Mike, Pamela Ownby and husband, Bernard all of Knoxville; grandchildren: Adam Ely, Brian Ely, Chris Gunther and Rebekah Daniels all of Knoxville; siblings: Clyde Perryman and wife, Agnes and Mary Belle Garneau all of Knoxville and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Norwood Baptist Church, Wilson Rd., Knoxville with Reverend Jason Sweeton and Rev. Jack Cooper officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Mike Ely, Bernard Ownby, Jeff Ownby, Chris Gunther, Doug Gunther, Jr. and Mark Perryman serving as pallbearers. Tom Davies, Ray Smith and Doug Gunther will be serving as honorary pallbearers. The service will conclude with military honors and a white dove release ceremony.
His family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Norwood Baptist Church.
